Weights are anything the devil uses to get our eyes off Jesus and unto the things going on around us. The bible tells us that are help comes from the Lord, that He is the author and finisher of our faith. When he gets our eyes off Jesus we become like the man rowing up stream when he stops paddling, he thinks nothing is happening but he is slowly drifting backwards losing the ground that he had gained.
